Dual Format and Dual Stream on Streamrun Go

Streamrun Go sets up Twitch Dual Format automatically and generates the vertical version of your stream in the cloud, so desktop viewers get the horizontal stream and mobile viewers get the vertical one without a second device or canvas.

For IRL and other general content, Streamrun uses subject tracking to keep the vertical framing centered on the main action. For gaming content, Streamrun can automatically extract the webcam area and build a mobile-friendly vertical layout around it. Streamrun Go also supports YouTube Dual Stream, which delivers a horizontal and a vertical version of your stream on YouTube. YouTube uses a separate stream key for each orientation, so enable Dual stream in YouTube Studio, then add both the horizontal and the vertical key to your YouTube destination. Once the destination has a vertical key, selecting it as your only destination on the Go page starts a Dual Stream session, and Streamrun generates the vertical version for you.

Chat overlay

Streamrun Go can render your live chat on top of your stream in the cloud. At launch the overlay supports Twitch, Kick, and YouTube chat. Pick a side, left or right, on your Go page before you start the session.

The channel comes from the destination you have connected, so there is nothing to configure. Because the overlay is added on the server, it costs your phone no battery or processing power, and it works the same whether you stream from an app, an encoder, or straight from a camera.

• Available for Twitch, Kick, and YouTube destinations. Other platforms can still be used as destinations, they just have no chat to show.
• The overlay shows one channel at a time. When you multistream, you choose which destination the chat comes from.
• Available on horizontal streams. A vertical canvas has no room for a chat column beside the video.

Limitations

Streamrun Go is designed for simplicity with unlimited hours at a flat fee. Some standard Streamrun Pro features are not included.

• No access to the Streamrun Editor or advanced element settings. Additional elements cannot be added.
• Outputs start automatically when you begin a session and stop when you end it. No per-destination controls.
• You can either stream Twitch Dual Format or YouTube Dual Stream (Horizontal + Vertical) with automatic vertical framing, or multistream a standard stream to up to 2 destinations. A dual session uses a single destination, so selecting a second destination turns it off.
• Twitch Dual Format is limited to 30 fps, with a maximum resolution of 1080p for the horizontal stream and 720p for the vertical stream.
• YouTube Dual Stream needs a YouTube destination with both a horizontal and a vertical stream key, created with Dual stream enabled in YouTube Studio.
• Encoding settings are shared between both outputs and horizontal Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting is not available.
• The chat overlay is available on horizontal streams only, and shows one channel at a time from Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.
• If both inputs are offline for 15 minutes, the instance stops automatically.
• Maximum stream length: 24 hours per session.
