Effective Date: 2026-04-15
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between Streamrun Oy (“Streamrun”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and you (“you” or “user”). These Terms govern your use of our websites, services, software, and any other offerings available through streamrun.com (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Definitions
- “Services” means all functionalities provided by Streamrun, including but not limited to video processing, streaming, analytics, account management, and support.
- “User Content” means any data, video, audio, images, text, or other materials that you upload, broadcast, or otherwise make available through the Services.
- “Credits” means any usage-based allowances, either paid or granted for free, which allow access to Streamrun’s services.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Services, including donating credits or interacting with donation features, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the Services. The Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. By creating an account or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and agree that Streamrun may terminate your account without refund if this representation is found to be false. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has created an account or provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such information and terminate the associated account. If you believe that a person under 18 has provided personal information to Streamrun, please contact us at team@streamrun.com.
4. Services Provided “As-Is”
The Services are provided “as-is” and “as-available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any specific time or location. This explicitly includes no guarantee that streaming servers will be available for all users at all times, and access to such resources may be limited due to capacity constraints, maintenance, technical issues, or prioritization policies. This includes no guarantee that streaming server capacity will be available at all times or that integrations with third-party services will remain unchanged. We may modify or discontinue integrations with third-party services at any time without liability, including where required by law or by third-party providers. We may perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, which can affect availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Streamrun disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Streamrun provides technical infrastructure services only and does not act as a broadcaster, publisher, content distributor, or media company, and does not assume editorial control over User Content.
5. User Content and Use Restrictions
You are solely responsible for the content you broadcast or upload via the Services, including ensuring that it complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights (such as copyright and data protection). You agree not to upload or broadcast content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others. Streamrun does not monitor or endorse any User Content and is not liable for it.
Ownership of and licensing for User Content is described in Section 13 (Intellectual Property Rights).
Users are responsible for how they use received credits, including credits obtained via donations. Streamrun does not oversee or guarantee any outcomes related to donation campaigns, incentives, or promises made by users.
If we remove or restrict your content, we will notify you of the reason unless prohibited by law or to prevent ongoing harm. We will process notices of illegal content or activity expeditiously, in line with applicable laws, including the EU Digital Services Act where applicable.
Prohibited Uses
You must not, and must not permit any other party to:
- Use the Services for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or offensive purposes, or to transmit, distribute, store, or display any such content
- Attempt to damage, disable, overburden, impair, or disrupt the Services or any connected network
- Interfere with other customers’ use of the Services.
- Circumvent usage controls, geographical restrictions, or security measures.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to access the source code of any part of the Services, except as permitted by law
- Use automated means (including bots, scrapers, or similar tools) to access the Services without prior written consent.
- Upload any content that contains malware, spyware, viruses, worms, or other harmful code
- Use the Services in violation of applicable laws or regulations
6. Account Security and Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Streamrun immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or other security breach. Streamrun is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account credentials.
7. Refunds and Credit Expiration
All purchases, including subscription fees, paid credits, and donated credits, are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. You are responsible for canceling your subscription before the next billing cycle if you no longer wish to use the Services. All credits, whether purchased, donated, or granted for free, expire 12 months from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated at purchase, and any unused credits after expiry are forfeited without refund. Expired credits cannot be restored or refunded.
8. Donations and Credit Transfers
Streamrun allows users to support others by donating Streamrun credits within the platform. Donated credits are transferred to the recipient’s account and can be used to access Streamrun services, subject to the same terms and conditions as purchased credits.
Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. Streamrun does not guarantee any benefits, services, or outcomes in exchange for donations. Once credits are donated, they become the recipient’s property but cannot be withdrawn, refunded, or reversed by either the donor or the recipient, except as required by applicable law.
By donating credits, you agree to these terms and understand that your donation is final.
Recipients of donated credits are solely responsible for any tax obligations, reporting requirements, or legal compliance arising from receiving donations, including but not limited to gift taxes or income taxes as applicable under their local laws. Streamrun does not provide tax advice and recommends consulting a tax professional.
9. Credit Balance, Subscriptions and Account Suspension
To use the Services, you must either maintain a positive credit balance in your account or have an active, paid subscription. You are responsible for ensuring that your account is sufficiently funded or your subscription is paid in full to cover any service usage.
The rates applicable to the Services are available on Streamrun’s website and in the Dashboard when configuring Services. Unless otherwise agreed, we charge for video processing on a per-second basis, storage based on the gigabytes (GB) used per month, and subscriptions on a monthly basis. The actual service fee will be determined based on your use of the Service
Applicable value-added tax (VAT) and other applicable duties and taxes will be added to the prices, unless the prices are specified as “VAT inclusive.” Streamrun may adjust pricing at any time by providing at least thirty (30) days advance notice.
If your credit balance reaches zero or becomes negative, or if your subscription payment fails or remains unpaid, Streamrun reserves the right to suspend your access to the Services without prior notice. While we generally do not interrupt active sessions mid-stream, we reserve the right to do so at our discretion.
If you do not resolve the issue by depositing additional credits or paying the outstanding subscription within a reasonable period (at least fourteen days), Streamrun may consider your account terminated and may permanently delete all associated data.
You remain responsible for any applicable charges (e.g., storage or reserved resources) during any suspension period until the account is fully terminated.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Streamrun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the Services. Streamrun’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Streamrun during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental, consequential, or certain other damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above exclusions or limitations may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
11. No Liability for Third-Party Failures
Streamrun is not responsible for failures, limitations, or disruptions caused by third-party services or providers, including internet service providers, destination platforms (e.g., Twitch, YouTube), content delivery networks, or your own hardware and devices. We may modify or discontinue integrations with such third-party services without liability. Donation or payment issues caused by external payment methods or platforms (e.g., credit card fraud, chargebacks, payment gateway outages) are outside Streamrun’s control.
12. Modifications to Services and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. If material changes are made, we will notify users via email or through the Service. Continued use after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Intellectual Property Rights
All title, ownership, and intellectual property rights in and to the Services, including all software, designs, graphics, interfaces, trade names, trademarks, and any modifications, extensions, customisations, scripts, or other derivative works created by or for Streamrun, are and will remain the exclusive property of Streamrun or its licensors. Any rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved by Streamrun.
You retain all ownership rights to the content you broadcast or upload via the Services (“User Content”). By using the Services, you grant Streamrun a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Services to you. Streamrun does not claim ownership of your User Content, and we will not use it for any other purposes beyond what is required to operate and deliver the Services.
You grant Streamrun a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and transferable license to use, modify, distribute, and incorporate into the Services (without obligation to attribute) any suggestions, enhancement requests, recommendations, proposals, corrections, or other feedback you provide relating to the operation or functionality of the Services.
Codec and Patent Licensing
The encoding, transcoding, decoding, or processing of audio and video using the Services may involve technologies subject to third-party patent or other intellectual property rights (including certain audio and video compression formats).
You are solely responsible for obtaining any licenses, permissions, or rights required for your use or distribution of content processed through the Services, including any required patent licenses or royalty payments. Streamrun has no obligation to obtain such licenses on your behalf and disclaims any liability related to your failure to secure necessary rights.
14. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, without liability, if we believe you have violated these Terms, applicable laws, or caused harm to the platform, other users, or third parties.
Streamrun maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We may also disable access to content that is the subject of repeated or flagrant infringement.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Streamrun, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your User Content, including any claim that your User Content infringes or misappropriates a third party's intellectual property or other rights; (b) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (c) your failure to obtain required rights, licenses, or permissions; or (d) your willful misconduct or fraud. This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Services.
16. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
Streamrun respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law, including the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").
