Billing and credits

Streamrun uses prepaid credits for Pay-as-you-Go (PAYG) usage. These credits are non-refundable, so only add what you plan to use. Applicable taxes will be added to the selected credit amount, with the final price shown at checkout. After adding credits, reload the Streamrun dashboard to see your updated quota. Payments are securely processed by Stripe.

PAYG billing is based on actual usage, calculated per second. For example, a 2.5-hour live stream without add-ons consumes credits worth 2.5 × $0.39 = $0.975. Only configurations in RUNNING mode consume credits. Read more about modes here.

1 GB of file storage is included at no cost for assets like image and video files. Additional storage is available in 1 GB increments, see add-ons pricing. Possible fees for additional storage are deducted from prepaid credits at the start of each month, with deductions visible in the Credit Usage Log.

Running out of credits while streaming

We don’t normally cut a stream mid-broadcast if your credits reach zero, although we reserve the right to do so in certain cases. You can top up after going offline, or share your personal credit donation link with viewers while live.

Accounts without an established history of credit purchases may have streams stopped if overages become significant.

During the free trial, if you reach the daily streaming cap and have no credit purchases, your instance will be stopped automatically to keep resource usage balanced. Any credit purchases remove this limit.

Credit Donation Link

You can share a donation link with your viewers, allowing them to directly contribute Streamrun credits to your account. It’s an easy way for your audience to support your stream and help cover your live streaming costs. You’ll be notified by email when credits are donated. You can find your donation link in the dropdown menu that appears when you click your profile picture in the top-right corner. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. Streamrun does not guarantee any benefits, services, or outcomes in exchange for donations.

Invoice Receipts

Invoice receipts are automatically sent to your email after you purchase credits. To download receipts later, visit Stripe’s customer portal and request a sign-in link using your billing email address.

Credit Usage Log

Keep track of your spending with the Credit Usage Log. It shows a detailed information of how your credits are used, including timestamp, duration, and costs for each session. This helps you monitor usage and stay on top of your budget.
