By default, Instagram Live is limited to the Instagram app, where you go live directly from your phone’s camera. If you want to stream from external software like Streamrun, OBS Studio, or any third-party tools, you’ll need to switch your Instagram account to a Creator or Business account. This is required to access Instagram’s Live Producer feature, which enables streaming from outside the app.
Switching account type is free and takes effect instantly. You can change your account type in the Instagram app by going to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch account type.
Once you've switched to a Creator or Business account, visit instagram.com, click Create, select Live video, and copy Stream URl and Stream key from the pop-up window to a new Streamrun destination.
