Preview Video

The preview video in the Streamrun editor and Remote Control provides a real-time look at the selected output element, shown in the bottom-right corner of the canvas. Switch between outputs using the dropdown above the preview window.

Preview video
The preview video is lower quality and lower bitrate than your actual stream output, so it does not reflect final output quality. Preview mode is free of charge. The configuration automatically switches to RUNNING mode when you stream to your inputs or set an output live.

When preview is not available

Server capacity

At times, preview servers may be temporarily unavailable to prioritize resources for live streams. Reloading the Streamrun editor makes a new attempt to get a preview server.

Multiple tabs

Each user can have one active preview at a time. If you open multiple configurations in different browser tabs, the preview stays active only in the most recently opened tab.

Browser inactivity

The preview closes automatically if your browser is inactive for a while. Reloading the editor restarts it.

VPNs and Apple Private Relay

The preview video stream requires a direct connection to the server. Apple Private Relay and some VPNs or network configurations may block this connection. If the preview doesn't load, try disabling Private Relay or your VPN.
