Disconnect protection for YouTube Live
This setup helps keep your YouTube Live stream running smoothly, even if your internet drops or your streaming device has issues.
If your device goes offline, viewers will see a simple “no signal” message by default. You can personalize this by clicking the Input Stream element and uploading your own 1920x1080 PNG image to show during outages.
How this works
Streamrun runs in the cloud, so the connection to YouTube stays solid regardless of what’s happening with your connection or device. If your stream to Streamrun gets interrupted, your audience won’t get kicked off. Streamrun can show the placeholder image until you're back online, so your live (and chat) stays online.
How to use this configuration
Create a free Streamrun account (you'll get $10 in credits), click “Copy and Edit” at the top right of this page, add your output destinations (i.e. your YouTube stream key), and go live. Reach out to team@streamrun.com if you have any questions.
